A wide array of food, family-friendly fun, and sports for those who have an affinity for anything tailgate-related Saturday, October 5th at the Annual Tampa Bay Tailgate Taste Fest at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

This year will be the sixth incarnation of the event. The Tampa Bay Tailgate Taste Fest is being put on by the Tampa Bay Sports Commission (TBSC) and the Event Development Institute (EDI). From 3 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Curtis Hixon Park will be transformed into a tailgater's paradise, with huge screens showing college football, locally crafted food and other forms of fun in the Tampa sun.

The event is accessible to all members of the family, including your animals. Inflatables, games and two giant LED screens showing the best college football games of the day will be going down as the Hillsborough River drifts by in the background. Specifics on what college football games will be shown, and more information on the various forms of entertainment, will be posted closer to the date.

“This event has grown every year. And each year it’s more fun, more entertaining and you can’t beat the location,” says Jordyn Tramble, Tailgate Taste Fest Event Manager. “There’s truly something for everyone, from the college football games to the inflatables and games in the Fan Zone and the amazing food, drinks and live music. It’s just the best tailgate atmosphere!”

While the event is free, wristbands can be purchased. There are three tiers, with a Food Sample Wristband, Cook-off Combo and VIT (Very Important Tailgater). All options revolve around the food offerings, and each band offers either five, ten or more samples of food from the participating local eateries. Tickets are on sale now!
