Undiscovered to most but treasured by the lucky who know of this place, Cypress Point Park is a beautiful place where some of the most beautiful sunsets in Tampa can be found. Tucked away on the west coast of Tampa, above I-275 near the end of Cypress Street, is Cypress Point Park. In addition to the gorgeous sunsets, this Tampa park has a beautiful beach where visitors can walk along or lay out and relax.

It is hard to imagine that this beautiful park was once a landfill, but the city took this project under its wing and were able to restore and rededicate this park in 2008. Since the rededication, the park has remained a beautiful, clean and hidden oasis for all looking for recreational things to do in Tampa.

Cypress Point Park’s amenities include parking, a bus stop, boardwalk, restrooms, picnic areas, canoe launch, trails, fishing and more. If looking for places to fish in Tampa, Cypress Point Park is a must. This undiscovered jewel allows fishermen the quiet serenity needed to enjoy fishing to its fullest.

Not only is Cypress Point Park great for fishing, but also is a perfect choice for other recreational activities like hiking in Tampa. For those who enjoy a relaxing stroll, try out the beach or one of the trails at this park.
