In coming to terms with our new normal it is crucial to keep our hands and minds engaged in something meaningful as much as possible. Obviously, this has become exceedingly difficult due to the stay-at-home orders and quarantine procedures in place, resulting in many businesses to close their doors or offer limited services. Finding new and exciting events and activities has never been harder, but that doesn’t mean there are no options. Although it is important to be cautious of the virus and to stay indoors if you are at a special risk of experiencing severe symptoms, it is also important to keep your life balanced, part of which means engaging in stimulating and mostly educational or informational material.

We've compiled a few possible activities that will let you release all that stay-at-home energy and anxiety. For starters, virtual tours of online museums and art galleries have blossomed since many physical locations closed in the wake of quarantine procedures. They're the perfect social distancing approved activity.

The Florida Aquarium hosts a live stream of their exhibits daily at 10 a.m. on their Facebook page, catching the eye of hundreds of onlookers each stream.

The USF Contemporary Art Museum is debuting their new exhibit, Battin’ A Hundred, a compilation of the 2020 MFA graduating class, via the museum’s social media outlets.

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is hosting a “hangout session” on their Twitch Livestream every Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST, inviting any quarantinees to chat with museum staff about their exhibits and other details for a half hour.

Now that many people have too much time on their hands, it is only logical that many would turn to binge-watching that show they just haven’t gotten around to yet. Luckily, there is not only Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime to fulfill these video streaming cravings.

The Tampa Theatre is offering virtual movies to keep you entertained if you’ve exhausted the Trifecta of video streaming search engines.

The Jobsite Theater is hosting an interactive theatre production called “Madlib the Bard” aimed to involve as many theatre patrons as possible to keep spirits high in these trying times.
