Sprinkles Cupcakes and Ice Cream

Did you know that this cheery pink bakery known for its rotating menu of cupcakes, ice cream, and cookies with an after-hours 24/7 Cupcake ATM machine was the world's 1st cupcake bakery? In Hyde Park Village at 717 South Dakota Avenue, we recently had the pleasure of meeting the management team behind Sprinkles in Tampa Bay, Maura Weber, and Lauren Schaefer. Owned by Candace and Charles Nelson, Sprinkles has been in business for eleven years. On track to open five new stores each year, we can't thank them enough for choosing Tampa and bringing the brilliant Cupcake ATM to the Bay area this fall. I only wish my grandmother was here to experience this with me!  She would have loved it.  Take your friends, take your families, and have some fun checking out Sprinkles unique, custom flavor profiles like Banana Dark Chocolate, Chai Latte, Cuban coffee, Green tea (8/28), Lemon Coconut and Limited Edition cupcakes like Drew Barrymore's Strawberry Shortcake Cupcake.

At Sprinkles it's NOT just about the cupcakes, cookies and ice cream, it's about the experience too,  "Ice cream on a hot day, Cupcakes on a rainy day." as Maura put it. Laura adding, "The passion for making people happy is in the DNA of the brand."

Schakolad Chocolate Factory

Schakolad Chocolate Factory (pronounced shaq-oh-LAD) is one of the truly custom retail chocolate boutiques in Tampa Bay and a great place to satisfy your choco-cravings.  Made fresh on the premises, Schakolad uses three-generation European recipes in the making of their creative sweet treats! When was the last time you received chocolates where you could also eat the box?  A wondrous place, plan on spending time at this little piece of chocolate heaven in South Tampa.  There are an infinite number of candies to peruse, and choices to make.  Wait!  Have one of your own?  Don't hesitate to ask owner Kelly Oliver if they can make your dream come true!  They do custom orders!  I asked them to reproduce my business card once and my clients raved!  Over the 15 years they have been in business, my clients and family received unique one-of-a-kind gifts thanks to this gifted chocolatier. Kelly is covering Tampa, "in a layer of chocolate love" one satisfied customer at a time. Trust me, once you venture in, like a siren, Schakolad keeps calling you back!  From the sights to the sounds, to the amazing smell, Schakolad is an experience!  A favorite place to treat my kids after school it's one of the ways I created memories. Be sure to stop in on September 15th for Schakolad Day and look for them to support Dress for Success and Breast Cancer events this fall. Looking for something fun to do with the girls? Call Kelly to ask about her wine and chocolate tastings, they are Schakolads of fun!
