Meatless Monday: Tampa Pizza Company

What is it about pizza that is so magical? Is it simply the cheese? Or is it the variety that comes and generally unities any foodie simply based on the options that come with the ooey-gooey goodness of the treat? Can one food provide all this glory to meat-eaters and veggie-lovers alike?

The short answer? Yes.

The longer? Tampa Pizza Company. If the word pizza in the title isn't enough to sell you, then the atmosphere will. In downtown Tampa, this corner spot is just a street corner away from the Tampa Theatre making it a prime candidate for some late night grub. Quaint, modern and with a unique menu, your Meatless Monday doesn't have to be strictly salads.

We opted to trying their Vegan pizza, aptly named: Vegan, Simply soy cheese, mushrooms and garlic make this red-sauce based delight. Classic, chewy and flavorful, this is a solid pizza experience.

At only $9, the friendly staff, the stellar atmosphere and the fact that your favorite game is probably on above the bar... Well, Tampa Pizza Company can turn a Monday into a Friday with ease. And while we stuck with a fairly standard pizza, their menu offers up a unique variety to local favorites. Try the Tarpon Springs for a Greek-inspired dish with feta and olives. Or opt for the Pear & Gorgonzola and Bruschetta pizzas you'll need to try to believe.

Tampa Pizza Company is also located in Westchase, so find them in either location and get your pizza fix. We'll leave you this close-up of the action for inspiration.
