Tampa Bay’s Pete’s Place South is calling all foodies! Starting out as a smoking bar in 1979, Pete’s Place South has been recently renovated into a restaurant with new bar seating and stool seating. These renovations include a full kitchen and a delicious summer menu, featuring fresh Gulf seafood and more. Their summer new summer menu can be enjoyed in the restaurant or can be taken to-go if you are in a hurry.
New Hours | Open 7 days a week until 3 a.m.
Restaurant manager Chuck Calhoun gave us the rundown about the new changes that have recently taken place. Most importantly, Pete’s Place South is now open 7-days a week from 11 a.m. - 3 a.m.!
New Summer Menu
The new summer menu is never frozen and all sauces are made in-house making all their dishes delicious. Chuck recommends their Half-Pound Grouper Sandwich which can be grilled, fried or blackened and served with your choice of side. The Half-Pound Grouper Sandwich with waffle fries can be tried for a deal of only $15.99! Their other delightful side options include coleslaw, hush puppies or a side salad. If you’re not in the mood for a whole grouper sandwich but are looking for more of a snack, Chuck highly recommends their grouper bites full of fresh and decadent flavor.
Happy Hour Every Day
Make sure you have a drink while you munch on their mouthwatering summer menu options. Pete’s Place South hosts a Happy Hour every day at 11 a.m.-8 p.m. with hard to beat prices and specials. This includes $2.00 well drinks and all domestic drinks only $2.50 during the day and $3.00 at night. While the main bar is non-smoking, the enclosed patio doubles as a smoking section.
July 4th Specials
With July 4thcoming up, they will be having rockin’ specials for your family and friends to take advantage of while you celebrate America’s Independence. Starting July 1stand running through the whole week of July 4thuntil July 7th, enjoy their GW hotdogs and waffle fries for $5.00 and any of their hamburgers with waffle fries for a bargain price of $8.00! Bring your whole family along while you drink and eat for great prices that won’t break the bank.
Top-notch Entertainment
Food and drinks aside, Pete’s Place South also offers top-notch entertainment suited for a chill night hanging out with those you love. Aside from being the hottest karaoke spot they also feature live music on certain nights and have 20 televisions scattered throughout the restaurant. Catch all the college football games and NFL games as they will be up on the TV’s every time a game is happening. Get rowdy as you cheer on your favorite teams, sing along to your favorite karaoke song or dance along to a band that makes you feel groovy.
