Following a dispute from another company that had already trademarked the name, South Tampa restaurant, The Lime turned to its customers for a new name back in November.
The person who came up with the winning name in the "Rename The Lime" contest was offered a $1,000 gift card for Ciccio Restaurants, which includes The Lime, The Lodge, Daily Eats, Ciccio’s Lodge, Ciccio’s California, and Water.
On New Year's Eve, The Lime held a celebration to ring in 2013 and unveil their new name, Green Lemon.
Green Lemon will maintain the same "Fun. Modern. Mexican” theme as the Lime and continue featuring everything from their great Happy Hour to contemporary Mexican fare, laid-back atmosphere, and more.
