Open for just over a year in Brandon, Big City Grill Co. is a unique, fast casual restaurant specializing in...well, hm... that's tough.

You've got to admire a restaurant that casts a wide net when it comes to their style of food and Big City Grill Co. takes it to the max with a diverse menu featuring burgers, sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, gyros, wings, and more.

Every item hovers around the $6 to $8 mark, making Big City Grill an affordable restaurant for a quick, affordable lunch in Brandon.

Sandwiches and wraps, if anything, seem to big Big City Grill's forte.  Their Philly cheesesteak comes packed with ribeye steak, melted provolone, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onion, grilled green peppers, grilled mushrooms, and hot peppers.  It's a weird, but overall decent sandwich.  I mean, who puts cold lettuce, mayo and tomato on a hot, melty Philly cheesesteak?  Of course, you can say no, but it's just odd that these are even included.  The steak was fairly bland, but carried enough by all the other elements in the sandwich.

Big City Grill's sleeper hit is definitely their sweet potato fries, which balance the fine line between salty and sweet unlike any other sweet potato fries I've tried.

Another sandwich, the Italian Club hoagie packs a flavorful punch with a warm assortment of ingredients like lightly toasted bread, ham, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese as well as mayo, mustard, lettuce, onion, and pickles.  It's a straight to the point Italian sandwich which does everything it needs to and not much more.
