Whether you're a tourist visiting the Tampa Bay area or a local.  It's a daunting task finding a place to gear up your wardrobe for Tampa's extended summer season. Tampa's summer weather can last from April to December. Yes, you read that right, December! With that said, ladies and gentlemen. Here's a mini summer fashion guide to shopping in Tampa designed to keep it simple and save valuable time.

Shopping for the perfect summer clothing is tricky. Do not fret, just follow these 2 simple steps:

  • One, always keep in mind the occasion.
  • Two, stay age-appropriate when selecting apparel to look stylish.

If your age ranges from 18 to 30's, you'll find beautiful resort style fashions at The Poppy Boutique.  Recently moved to its new location on South Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, this shop will meet all your needs for the season and provide great pieces to wear during your next weekend getaway.  In case you want to see more just a few minutes away, make a stop at Sweet Southern Chic Boutique right off Bay to Bay Boulevard.  Enjoy its charming bungalow vibe as you enter the boutique, offering a selection of summer fashion I like to call, southern glam. The shop provides women from ages 21 to 50's anything from the all white dress party to hot summer night engagements and everything in between.

It does not end just there.  Deborah Ken'ts Boutique off N. Dale Mabry is another treasure discovered in Tampa, carrying first-class summer fashion trends for both evening and everyday wear, any lady ranging in her 30's to 60's will find everything she needs to stay cool while looking Haute this summer. With a gorgeous array of shoes, jewelry and accessories to choose from, their very fashion savvy stylists will have you looking like you stepped out of a fashion magazine.

I completely understand how challenging it can be to find attractive men's summer fashion, but Tampa does not lack options.  So here are a few more places where you'll find what you're looking for guys. Make an afternoon trip to the locally popular Hyde Park Village in South Tampa, where you'll be able to visit brand stores like Tommy Bahama and Brooks Brothers, this is where you'll get a mix of tropical and classic apparel. Try out London Phillips and enjoy their stylish hipster style if you're anywhere between 18 and 40's.  The village's newest addition, Suit Supply also serves up fashion-forward menswear for those very important events.

Grown tired of all of the shopping? My favorite perk to shopping at Hyde Park Village is the variety of dining and lounging options like  On SwannThe Wine Exchange Bistro & Bar, Timpano Italian Chophouse, The Hyppo Tampa, Sprinkles Cupcakes and Ice Cream and much more. Head over to our Restaurant Guide to Tampa for more ideas.  If you prefer to not do the decision making alone, reach me at VStylist for personal care to your style & shopping needs.

No matter your age or interest, whatever your calendar may hold, it's easy to find the perfect fashion for your next event in Tampa once you know where to go!
