The rumors swirled around the internet this morning and now they're confirmed; the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have fired head coach Raheem Morris after a three year stint leading the organization.

Morris wasn't the only one to get the axe either.  The Bucs also fired every assistant coach and coordinator in their arsenal according to Bucs news website, PewterReport.com.

The multiple firings come after a dismal 2011 season where the team found itself off to a decent 4-2 start before a cringe-worthy downfall losing the following ten games.

Morris started with the organization as a defensive quality control staffer in 2002 before moving on as a defensive assistant in 2003, the assistant defensive backs coach in 2004 and 2005, and the head defensive backs coach in 2007 and 2008 after spending 2006 a the defensive coordinator at Kansas State.

Morris began working as the Bucs head coach after John Gruden left the team in 2009.  During his three seasons of coaching, Morris accumulated a 17-31 record with the team.  Morris had one year left on his contract and was slated to earn about $2 million next season.

The Bucs will be holding a press conference at 3 p.m. to discuss the recent layoffs and future for the organization.
