The Denise Amber Lee Foundation and The Healthy Dispatcher team up for two days of training in Tampa, Florida on March 26-27, 2019.
Attendees will receive FOUR training tracks over 2 days totally in 16 hours of training.
One day registrations are available for $195/person (8 hours of training), and the full two-day registration is only $275/person for full 16 hours.
Day one sessions: "The Power of Resilence: How to Thrive in 9-1-1" & "In the Midst of Chaos: The Las Vegas Shooting Story."
Day two sessions: "Positive Interaction with Difficult People" & "A Victim's Plea: Meeting Expectations."

Day One - March 26, 2019
"The Power of Resilence: How to Thrive in 9-1-1" ~Adam Timm
9-1-1 telecommunicators are resilient by nature—they’re caregivers to the world! But without careful attention and regularly check-ins, the challenges of the job can overwhelm even the most psychologically hardy. Research has shown that 9-1-1 telecommunicators who prioritize their resilience are happier on the job, feel more confident about their day, and experience greater life satisfaction. This presentation underscores the importance of resilience at both the personal and organizational level, and offers specific tools and strategies for more of it. (4 hours)
"In the Midst of Chaos: The Las Vegas Shooting Story" ~Matt Grogan
Quiet turned to terror the evening of Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Combined Communications Center in Las Vegas. A lone gunman had opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival on the famous Las Vegas Strip, where 22,000 concert-goers were in attendance. Calls poured into the center as people were running for their lives. From gunshot wounds to trample victims, misinformation to scene safety issues, Matt discusses his experience that evening and the lessons they learned from this event. Through grit and determination the Las Vegas Fire telecommunicators put together the largest fire and medical response Las Vegas has ever seen, and ensured that everyone who they came into contact with found hope in the midst of chaos. (4 hours)
