Channelside Bay Plaza Ratings & Reviews

Great local place to walk around or grab a bite! They're renovating it as we speak.

Channelside is certainly one of the nicer places to spend a relaxing day in Tampa. Plenty of bars and restaurants are available to visitors as well as some local shops and an IMAX movie theater. My family regularly visits for a drink at TinaTapas and perhaps some sushi at Oishi or Thai food at Thai Thani. Businesses have come and gone as the recession rocked Tampa Bay, but Channelside still stands today and I believe as Tampa recovers so will Channelside. Parking is pretty accessible with valet options, in addition to a parking and validated parking at restaurants and shops. As Downtown Tampa grows, I expect Channelside to become a much bigger part of the bay.

Pros: Plenty of drinking and dining options, validated parking

Cons: Still plenty of room for growth - can be deserted at times (could be a pro for some people)

A ghost town as of late, but Channelside is a suitable destination for a wide variety of restaurants/nightlife in one place.

Pros: Tons of variety, from Splitsville to the movies, Wet Willie's, and more. Conveniently located right next to Tampa Bay Times Forum.

Cons: Parking is gonna be a walk and sometimes it's pricey. Lot of the places are pretty costly as well.

Channelside is always fun and has lots to offer for any mood. Between all the bars in Channelside there is bowling and billiards, dance floor, movie theater, piano bar, and more. Also enjoy great dining and shopping. The courtyard is great and sometimes they have live music.

Pros: Excellent location and a good variety of food and entertainment. Outdoor courtyard allows you to enjoy the Florida weather.
