When several young people took their lives after being bullied in school, syndicated columnist and author Dan Savage and his partner Terry Miller created a YouTube video to give hope to LGBTQ teens.
Event Details
The video went viral and incited a following that became the it gets better movement, a critical mass of everyday people, celebrities, dignitaries and communities showing young LGBTQ people the levels of happiness, potential and positivity their lives will reach – if they can just get through their teen years. After a week-long residency visiting local schools, the it gets better tour® performs a moving, inspiring musical production featuring the artists and young people of the Tampa Bay region.
