Cyber Florida is pleased to announce a new initiative to help small and medium-sized businesses take charge of their information security: Cyber Defense for SMBs. This free, easy-to-follow guide reviews everything you need to know about the cyber threats facing your business and provides practical, step-by-step guidance for implementing a cyber defense strategy that fits your business’s needs and resources. Topics covered include:

Common types of cyber attacks and the people behind them
Tricks cybercriminals use to infiltrate businesses 
Why your business might be a bigger target than you think
Taking stock and crafting a plan
Employee training 
How much security is enough?
What to ask potential service providers
Planning for cyber resiliency
Legal responsibilities in case of a breach
Cyber insurance: is it worth it? 

As part of our initiative, Cyber Florida will be hosting free workshops around the state of Florida, persenting a comprehensive and interactive exploration of this guide. Thank you to our State University System of Florida partners for helping co-host the workshops:
