Join us for the first annual Heights 4th of July Festival as part of Mayor Jane Castor’s inaugural Boom by the Bay Independence Day celebration!
Event Details
This all-day affair will kick off with a classic American Car Show, followed by a Hot Dog Eating Contest, live music all afternoon on the Yuengling Riverfront Stage, a YMCA sponsored Family Fun Zone on the West Lawn, and ending with a spectacular, 20-minute public fireworks display over the Hillsborough River.
Following the 4pm Hot Dog Eating Competition will be a full afternoon of live music featuring local favorites The Applebutter Express, Damon Fowler, and more to be announced.
Also kicking off at 4pm will be the YMCA sponsored Family Fun Zone on the West Lawn. Come out early and enjoy bounce houses, face painting, a craft corner, and much more before settling in to enjoy fireworks.
Armature Works will be one of the FOUR fireworks displays spanning 2.5 miles along the Riverwalk. Attendees are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs, however, coolers and outside food and beverages will be prohibited.
Along with food and drinks from any of the vendors within the Heights Public Market there will also be food and drink options on the Front and West Lawns.
