Blue Note Blooze, A Suncoast Blues Society Event

The Blue Note is a reinvigorated “Chitlin’ Circuit” Jook Joint! In its present incarnation it features a full liquor bar, smoke-free lounge, and a smoking patio out back. If this event turns out to be as successful as we hope, we’ll try to present more shows at the Blue Note on a regular basis.

Sam Boli and the Sunday Sinners - 7:00-8:00pm
Blues-rockers “Sam Boli & the Sunday Sinners” is made up of Sam Boli (guitar and vocals), Dorian Rossas (bass guitar), Dale Travis (drums). The third-place finishers in the 2019 Suncoast Blues Challenge, they play about 95% original music. They’re relatively new to the scene, but if you heard ‘em at the challenge you’ll enjoy another earful!

Petey and the Ravens - 8:20-9:25pm
Petey Rodriguez played in many bands of diverse genres until 2013 when he formed Petey & the Ravens. The Raven power trio will rock your blues! They area considered a blues/rock fusion band featuring their original music. Petey will be joined by co-founder Valentine Avila on bass and drummer Brian Topps.

Walker Smith Group - 9:45-11:00pm
The Stars of our Show… Walker Smith’s eclectic mojo brew of Windy City meets Swamp funk Blues is back in Florida after a few years on the West Coast. The latest configuration brings former WSG bassist "Big Daddy" Baker back from Detroit to reinvigorate the mix. Former Guitar Shorty touring guitarist Corey Wheeler, out of Portland, Oregon, blends with Walker's fierce rhythm grooves for an intoxicating mix nailed solidly to the floor by local drum favorite Sam Farmer!
