Pen Making – Father's Day

Level: Open to All (Minimum age 12)

Learn how to prepare, turn, and finish a wooden pen on the lathe.

We will show you how to cut pen blanks, drill and mount the blanks on the lathe, turn the pen barrels and apply a finish. You will make at least two pens – a wooden one and an acrylic one (just for fun).

We have all the equipment, materials, and safety gear you need. Just tie your hair back, put on sneakers, and leave the jewelry at home. Oh, and bring a water bottle if you can – we are trying to cut down on plastic water bottle waste ?

Your instructor will show you how and review the process so don’t worry if you have never done this before. No skill needed ?

The final step will be assembling the pen.

You do not need any experience for this class. We will keep you safe, you’ll have a great time.
