About this Event
Greetings & Welcome,
• This floral workshop is completed with everything you need to have a great, "pre-game" to your Galentine's Day !! There will be music, food, drinks and tons of flowers and greenery to help build a bouquet with you and your friends. We encourage you to use as much stems as you can fit in your vase !!
• This workshop is open to all levels of flower artists. Whether you are a beginner or professional, our workshop is designed for making memories that you can hold dearly to your hearts. Music will paint the background so that you feel comfortable and yet, inspired. Food & drinks will be the needle and thread that weaves you into a moment where conversations now become connections, forming a memory that is crafted all by friendships and laughters.
Galentine's Day History: In-Dept
Galentine's Day is an "Unofficial" Holiday in celebration to ladies !! It gives you an excuse to get dolled up, spread some love to yourself & friends, have a drink & celebrate some female empowerment !! This fun holiday is marked on your calendar every 13th day, in February, right before the big V-Day. (or at least it should be)
It was created by a fictional character named: Leslie Knope from your series Parks & Recreations. Season 2 of Park & Rec in 2010, included an episode called "Galentine's Day" where Leslie gathered a group of her gals for a brunch of waffles & love !! Right from Leslies mouth... “Every February 13, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style,”
Although Galentine's Day was "made" for ladies, we like to say that this sweet holiday is made for celebrating more then just that. Galentine's Day is a day to celebrate friendship and to those who have stuck by your side !! A holiday dedicated to showing the most important people in your life - how much you care about them. Regardless of gender, and the "G" replacement of the "V" for Valentines Day, the "G" does not stand for "Gals" it stands for "Gender". A day to celebrate friendship no matter your gender !!
