Description
Celebrate July 4th with Friends of the Riverwalk as we host our inaugural July 4th Boat Parade & Blessing of the Fleet as part of the Boom by the Bay festivities.
Event Details
The parade route will be similar to our holiday light boat parade but will include two blessing stations.
The Blessing of the Fleet is a tradition that began years ago but is still practiced in many fishing and boating communities around the world to ensure a safe and bountiful season.
Boats will be decorated in colorful flags and compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the small/motorboat and large/sailboat competitions. We will also provide a prize for the most patriotic boat. Registration required to participate in the boat parade. Spectators are free.

Julian B Lane Riverfront Park

Tampa Convention Center
Sparkman Wharf
Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park
Bayshore Boulevard
Each site will feature activities for all ages, food vendors, entertainment, and fireworks, which will be choreographed together and launched simultaneously at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.).
The Boom by the Bay event is free and open to the public. Event-goers are reminded to follow CDC guidelines for COVID-19
