2012 Gasparilla Parade

Check out the Guide to Gasparilla 2012 on 813area.com.The 2012 Gasparilla Parade will kick off at 2pm until approximately 5:30pm shortly after the Gasparilla Invasion of the waters at Tampa Bay.  The Gasparilla Parade consists of over 90 floats, over a dozen marching bands and a plethora of pirates throwing countless beads and coins. Try not to stress about where you will be in Downtown Tampa, because this parade is immense and very hard to miss! Starting at the crossroads of Bay to Bay Boulevard and Bayshore Boulevard, stemming nearly 4 miles throughout downtown with the ending crossroads of Ashley Drive and Cass Street.A great location to try to be is over the bridge on Bayshore, if you can squeeze in the crowd! Other suggestions would be one of the nearby complexes, if you know of someone who has a higher level apartment overlooking the bay.  Otherwise, join the mass crowd of over half a million people on the streets of Downtown Tampa and celebrate the good old fashioned way! No matter where you end up, you will be sure to have a grand time with everyone you're with, whether you know them or not. It is Gasparilla after all!
