The Rack

All-in all, the Rack definately lives up to it's reputation.

Pros: The Rack has a good overall atmosphere, and you can't deny it's some of the best sushi in tampa.

Cons: Parking is limited. If you don't mind a walk, there is nearby parking.

If you are looking for a place to play a few games of pool, throw some darts, meet some people, eat awesome sushi or just have a few drinks...The Rack is definately a place to go!

Pros: The people who hang out here really make this a fun & chill place to go. Everyone is friendly at The Rack! The sushi is amazing and probably the best place I have ever had Sushi.

Cons: The parking lot is in rough shape with holes and bumps so be careful driving through it. Also on busy nights you might have to park in overflow lots.

I enjoy going to The Rack for sushi and drinks! I haven't actually had anything aside from the appetizers and sushi but have heard their other menu items are good as well. They have a great 1/2 price speciality roll special on Wednesday nights. They also have a $3 martini menu for Saturday night ladies night--all 6 of them are delish but I especially like the Dreamsicle. There are times it is packed and hard to get a table but if you go early enough or later in the evening you can easily get a table. They do have pool tables and a side bar to mix things up. They have TV's around with sports on and a patio with a good amount of seating. It is a couple blocks from the main bars on Howards which helps make it a better crowd.

The Rack in truly a staple of Hyde Park. Located right across the street from the Hyde Park Cafe and just a few minutes from other bars and nightlife, convenience is certainly a selling point here. The Rack has specials every day of the week and their all-you-can-eat and drink specials are well worth the price. Parking can be a pain, even during the daytime - but that is true about pretty much everywhere in South Tampa. The crowd is mixed with young 20s and mid-30s depending on the night you attend. The bartenders are friendly, while the waiters could be more attentive. If you're ordering off the regular drink menu than don't expect to spend less than $50 per person on your visit. Overall, The Rack is pretty solid - although their sushi quality has declined over the years.

I love the sushi here. It is a little pricey, but I also haven't been since they updated their menu/prices. I love the atmosphere and have gone to both the South Tampa and Brandon Rack multiple times. It's definitely a good place to go after the Lightning games too! South Tampa gets crowded, but it is a lot of fun. They always have specials too, which is nice. You can play pool, Wii (at Brandon), and/or sit at the bar. I think it’s a great place to go for a girl’s night out especially when they have $2 tapas Thursday! I love the Rack and would highly recommend it especially for sushi lovers.

This is the original Rack and it is all around amazing!! The food is superb (I usually get the sushi), the people are great, and they have great specials. There are pool tables and ping pong tables for entertainment as well as some times they have a DJ. Parking is limited but if you valet, they usually give you $5 off at the Rack so it basically just costs the tip for the attendant to park.

Pros: Everything!!! Food, atmosphere, drink selection, specials, location...

The Rack in Tampa has another one in Brandon which is just as delicious!

Cons: It's so popular, it's hard to find parking. Cab it!

Went for the first time for lunch a couple weeks ago. Quick, friendly service, a fantastic (and huge) burger, and amazing fries. Their menu is ginormous as well with everything from sandwiches to sushi.

Pros: Big diverse menu. Everyone at the table seemed pleased with what they got.

Cons: Can't really think of anything. The burger's about $10 which might sound kind of steep, but given its size and everything you get on it it's not a bad deal.
