The 5th Annual Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 18, at Adventure Island®, Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay's water park. This event invites kids to run, bike, and swim through Adventure Island.
Event Details
Children ages 6-10 (junior varsity division) and 11-14 (varsity division) will once again have the opportunity to swim, bike and run in and around Adventure Island in this USA Triathlon sanctioned event. Plus, Busch Gardens will provide course entertainment throughout the race and the first 400 pre-registered participants will receive a complimentary ‘Stay and Play’ ticket to Adventure Island (valid race day only)!
Participants will also collect a race-day “Swag Bag,” which will include an Under Armour® T-shirt, and have the chance to enter and win a youth ‘Specialized’ brand children’s road bike, courtesy of Cycle Sports Concepts. All competitors will be given a finisher’s medal upon completion of the race and the top three in each category will earn a trophy and an additional Adventure Island ticket to recognize their achievement.
To register, please go to TampaBayKidsTriathlon.com. Pre-registration packet pick-up will happen on Friday, March 17, between 3:30 p.m.- 7 p.m. at Adventure Island. Check-in and packet pick-up will begin at 5 a.m. on race day, and triathlon timing will be administered by Run 4 a Cause.
