This show is founded on the idea that every human experiences an array of emotions that cause them to tighten or loosen their grip in life.
“When people watch the show they should feel a connection to the movement and relate to the stories portrayed on stage,” says Ashley Grimes artistic director of Tampa Modern Dance Company.
This groundbreaking collaboration merging hip hop and contemporary concert dance will be one of a kind. Local choreographers with different perspectives were given the opportunity to showcase their work. Artistic directors; Ashley Grimes and Demario Henry have had much success collaborating in the past including master classes, workshops, charity events, and providing training for aspiring dancers. Both directors are very passionate about creating opportunities for dancers in Tampa and growing the Tampa dance community.

Price: General admission ages 10 and up $25.00

About Tampa Modern Dance Company
TMDC was founded in the summer of 2014 by Ashley Grimes to bring together a strong movement of Modern and Contemporary dancers in the Tampa Bay and surrounding areas. Our mission is to have a place for the community to grow and collaborate artistically while providing opportunities for up and coming dancers to share their passion. TMDC believes “Through Movement Dance Communicates”. TMDC will be premiering work from Ashley Grimes, Danielle Dominguez, Carleigh Gee, Casey Hicks, and Erin Ma
