We are back with the annual USF-SE Balsa Bridge Competition! Register a team from your school now to take their learning out of the classroom, giving students an unforgettable experience that is fun and challenging!

DESIGN IT- BUILD IT-DESTROY IT
Your teams design a bridge based on the established rules and guidelines, build it, and then teams compete to see the bridge that can withstand the most weight before collapsing. Kids have fun throughout the whole process and learn valuable skills in teamwork and engineering.
Hosted by The College of Engineering (COE) at the University of South Florida (USF), Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student chapter, the USF-SE Balsa Wood Bridge Design Competition is open to all middle and high school students in Pinellas and Hillsborough county schools.
The USF-SE Balsa Wood Bridge Design Competition takes place during the USF Engineering EXPO on February 17th.
