Event Details
National fundraising trainer, Amanda Pearce of Funding for Good, is hosting a workshop in Tampa on Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In the workshop, Pearce will discuss grant writing, grant research and donor relationships.
"Nonprofits, churches and schools are constantly battling a growing demand for services with shrinking funds," said Amanda Pearce, owner of Funding for Good. "Foundation grant writing offers a potential solution."
Funding for Good is bringing its one-day Grant Writing and Research workshop to Hillsborough County to help clear up the confusion and offer insight on writing and winning grants sponsored by Foundations.
“Grant funding is highly competitive,” said Amanda Pearce, owner of Funding for Good. “There is an art to how successful grants are written and the most successful organizations understand that.”
This workshop will cover the basic do’s and don'ts of grant writing, the seven elements of almost every proposal and how to customize proposals for better success. Participants will also learn the process for successful grant research and how to better develop and manage donor relationships.
“When you know the pitfalls to avoid, you will save time and cut down on frustration as you work to locate donors whose priorities match your needs,” said Pearce.
Real stories from the nonprofit world will serve as case studies for the group and participants will also be able to review successfully funded proposals.
If you are new to grant writing or have written grants before without receiving funding, sign up for the workshop at Congregation Beth Am Synagogue | 2030 W. Fletcher Ave | Tampa, FL 33612.
