Jalapeno just recently celebrated their one year anniversary in New Tampa. I gave them a try a few weeks back. The waitress there was really awesome and truly a pleasure to dine with. The tortilla chips were fresh! The waitress informed us that many of their ingredients come from local farmer markets. My friend ordered the tacos which were amazing. My burrito "wrap" as they called it didn't fare as well. It was a little odd to me that they had it cut in half instead of served in either aluminum foil or sitting down and portion sizes were pretty small in my opinion for the price. I think they have plenty of other great options on their menu though and I will definitely give it another shot. I felt their beans could be a little more flavorful and gave some feedback to the manager so only the future will tell how my thoughts on Jalapeno change.

Pros: Local ingredients, interesting menu options, friendly staff

Cons: Beans can use some work, pass on the fries, parking can be a pain in the plaza where it's located
