LIVE MUSIC NO COVER PALEFACE AT THE INDEPENDENT
Event Details
Prolific and influential musician & artist, PALEFACE, and his partner Monica "Mo" Samalot have been touring heavily from coast to coast while also running a successful crowdfunding campaign to help release Paleface's first self-produced & fan-funded new album, “Go Forth” (January 2020 release). Paleface was schooled musically by underground icon Daniel Johnston, and soon discovered at an NYC open mic by Danny Fields (The Stooges, The Ramones, MC5). He's released over a dozen records including two major label releases, and has been called a major musical influence by a wide range of artists including multi-Grammy recipient, BECK. He's also collaborated & appeared on three albums by The Avett Brothers. Additionally, Paleface is visual artist, and his bright & bold music inspired paintings are collected by fans worldwide.
The high-energy Indie Rock, Alt-folk duo tends to sound like they have additional musicians onstage because of Paleface's dynamic songwriting and use of electric effect pedals on his acoustic guitar, including subtle live looping. Drummer "Mo" plays a full hybrid drum set (acoustic-electric) while also adding smooth, candied background vocals to the mix. Http://PalefaceOnline.com
