Join us for an evening of talks on cancer treatment and research at Hidden Springs Ale Works! Tonight, two cancer researchers who are making vital contributions to the war on cancer, Dr. Eric Lau and Dr. Shari Pilon-Thomas, will share their stories and research. Come and find out what is on the horizon when it comes to treating cancer and pick our experts' brains!

Dr. Shari Pilon-Thomas: Let's Talk About T cells
Immunotherapy and Cancer- The focus of the Pilon-Thomas laboratory is to enhance anti-tumor immune responses in patients with solid tumors, such as melanoma and pancreatic cancer. Patients with metastatic cancers have multiple suppressive mechanisms that prevent the establishment of effective anti-tumor immunity. Our approach is to treat patients with immunotherapies that educate and activate the immune system to kill tumor cells. I will discuss the current immunotherapies that are available and that are being tested.
