Event Details
Studies show that when kids have new school supplies of their own: grades, classroom behavior, and engagement improve; self-esteem increases; and attitudes toward school and learning strengthen.
Metropolitan Ministries works to get kids the supplies they need by providing backpacks, uniforms and school supplies to more than 250 children annually.
Simply Stated Media and 81Bay Brewing Company have teamed up to help them!
We are hosting a “Back Pack to School” Supply Drive to collect the items that students need most as they enter the new school year.
We're inviting people to bring a school supply donation or $20 cash donation to the event in exchange for a free beer, food truck discounts, chances to win prizes from our sponsors, and free chair massages.
The event will also feature a "buzzed" spelling bee!
Event sponsors include: Tampa Bay Lightning, Ford's Garage Brandon, Bonefish Grill, Loving Life Therapy, Skyline Limo, Brew Bus Brewing, Rodan + Fields Independent Consultant, Chelsea Bond Jewelry, Preschool Readers, LLC, Infinity Eye Care Center, Yoga Loft Tampa, and Youfit Health Clubs.
