Description

FloodZone presents Miami-based artist Anastasia Samoylova’s ongoing photographic series reflecting the impacts of sea level rise in South Florida, and highlighting the friction between natural and constructed landscapes.

Event Details

Capturing the precarious psychological state of living in a paradise sinking towards catastrophe, Samoylova’s work reveals the role photography plays in obscuring reality and crafting perception. FloodZone is curated by Sarah Howard, organized by USFCAM, and supported in part by an Oolite Arts grant, a grant from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, and Dr. Allen Root.
