The theme is “Something Old” (the Appalachian music which served as the inspiration for Don Freund’s Jug Blues and Fat Pickin’) “Something New” (Fanfare for Democracy, by James Stephenson was written in November) “Something Borrowed” (the Japanese folk tunes in It Yasuhide’s Funa-Uta) “Something Blue” (Aaron Perrine’s Pale Blue on Deep).
