On Point Book Fair to Feature Authors, Publishers Sept. 16 at WestShore Plaza to Celebrate Art of Writing, Reading

TAMPA, Fla. (Sept. 1, 2017) – On Point Executive Center will host its third annual Book Fair at WestShore Plaza Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
with more than 100 local authors, bloggers, publishers and literary-themed vendors at a free event for the whole family.

Authors will be on-site for book signings and conversations about their work, with well-respected publishers available to discuss personal book ventures. Events will include storytelling by children’s authors, custom selfie stops, book signings, giveaways and more. Center stage entertainment is planned all day, including Damsel in Defense, sharing safety tips for children and parents, a paint & take workshop with artist Alicia Campos, a presentation by Award-winning author and Inspirational Speaker Sara Im, an interview with author Susan Wolf Johnson about her book ‘King Daniel – Gasparilla King of the Pirates’ and more.

“The corridors will be filled with local authors, bloggers, magazines and publishers seeking to meet eager new readers and fan favorites,” said Karen Gillman, Vice President of On Point Executive Center. Gillman, who published her book, “After the Band” in 2004 about her weight loss journey, started the book fair as a book signing for her book. However, after many other local authors contacted her, the small book signing turned into 50 authors signing books throughout her Tampa office space. The next year the book fair doubled in size and expanded to include like-minded vendors and moved to the WestShore Plaza, which offers a perfect space to bring this event to families and the community. This year marks the 3rd anniversary of this annual event.
Both fiction and non-fiction works will be represented, covering all varieties and genres of writing including: science fiction, satire, dra
