Ladies Fly Fishing Workshop

Where: Picnic Island Park, Tampa
7409 Picnic Island Blvd, Tampa, FL 33616
For: Women of all ages interested in learning how to fly fish or to improve their fly casting (Beginner to Intermediate)
Workshop Limited to 25 Women
Cost $40.00 per person
(ages 16 and up - minors must have adult paid parent or guardian)
Sponsors: Not A Clue Adventures and Tampa Bay Fly Fishing Club
Cost: $40 includes snacks, lunch, goody bag, raffle ticket, Beginner Manual and 1-year membership in Tampa Bay Fly Fishing Club
Outline of Workshop:
Meet & Greet with refreshments
Introduction to Fly Fishing
Types of Fly Fishing (Saltwater, Freshwater, differences)
Equipment Overview (Rods, Reels, Lines, Leaders)
Knots (teach and practice 2-3 basic knots: Improved Clinch, Blood Knot, Loop Knot)
Flies
Casting Instruction
Lunch Provided
Casting Practice with Teaching Course (V-Fish, hoops, etc)

A Fishing LIcense is not required for this clinic as we will not be fishing. However, recreational fishing licenses are required for most residents to fish in saltwater of freshwater. Please visit this link for info about who needs a license and how to get one:
