The TBBAE is the first ever expo dedicated to authors of color here in the Tampa Bay area and we have planned several activities that are fun, family-friendly and entertaining.

The Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo desires to showcase the diverse literary talent that exists within the greater Tampa Bay area.
By creating the first-ever expo dedicated to authors of color in the Tampa Bay area, Tonisha Kimble, owner of Wonders of the World Book and Toy Store, has created a platform for some of this area’s most creative minds to network and share stories with their community.
For the inaugural Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo, there will be a writing workshop hosted by Expo co-host, author and healthy lifestyle enthusiast, Jeff White. He brings years of experience as a self-employed writer. Jeff says, "The writer’s workshop will be a great place for writers to learn various tips and techniques that will not only help them to become better writers but make a living as a writer also."
Headlining the Expo will be L’Armani, an emerging Tampa Bay artist. Performing for L’Armani began at the very young age of just six years old. He possesses a versatile sound that covers gospel, jazz, R&B, pop, soul, and country. With each performance, his goal is to embrace who he is and translate that musically. The Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo will be no different. L’Armani wants you to “be prepared to be taken on a musical journey fueled by love, hope, and excitement. An event that can only be experienced not explained.”
In addition to the Writer’s Workshop and performances from L’Armani, the Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo will also have activities for children, music, and food onsite.
The Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo will be held in beautiful Clearwater, Florida at the newly established Moore Eventful Event Hall. While in business since 2016, Tiffany Moore, the local Black female owner of Moore Eventful, just opened the doors of the gorgeously decorated and spacious new event hall this past November. Tonisha is “thrilled to have her expertise and help in bringing this dream to fruition.”
