Comments : have been to this place several times in the past and I loved it so much that I decided to have my 30th birthday there. ***Extremely long rant ahead, please read in its. entirety*** I had problems from the start from trying to book the reservation from Crystal from jump. She told me about the 3 sections that were available on the second floor. The small one for $175, medium for $200 and large for $250, then once I told her how many people I was expecting, about 10-15 people, she said only the largest section was available. I just wanted a small area for us to sit every now then when our feet got tired or if someone wanted to sit and just vibe. I had a feeling that she was lying so I had a friend call and say that she was having a birthday and expecting about 6 people and Crystal told her the smallest section was available like I knew. So my friend was not able to buy that section right then and there and when we tried to get it she didn't answer and when she call my friend back she didn't answer, they were playing phone tag. So the next day I told my mom to call and act like she was my friends mother, my mom told Crystal she was booking the table for me instead of my friend and Crystal of course remembered me and said only the middle section was available. She must have forgot that she told me only the largest section was available the day prior. Crystal was just overall rude and her customer service was poor. Now, the table is booked for $219 and all you get is a house bottle of champagne (it cost 19.99 according to Google) no comp entrance for ANYONE not even me, no drink specials, NOTHING. You are literally paying to sit and that is what Crystal said. So, we get to the club early around 9:30 and the upstairs is not open. So we sit at a reserved table, within 5 mins someone comes up to us and tells us we need to get up and she didn't want any problems if the party arrived and we were sitting at their table and it has happened in the past. I get it and she was nice about it. Now the upstairs is open and we go up there and people are already sitting in the section I paid for, there is nothing on the table that says reserved with my name on it like it was on the first floor and the bartender told me she didn't know about my reservation because Crystal didn t give her the listand she was out of town or something. So we had to wait for her to text Crystal. This was ridiculous and poorly arranged for $219 I remind you. Soo throughout the night people continually sat in our area because it was only one part with a table that had reserved. The bartender did a great job at telling people to get up when she checked on me but it was nothing like when I was downstairs and they told us to get up within 5 mins. Then the dj was giving birthday shout outs for the other people and my name was not mentioned at all until my friend went up there and told the dj. I know this is an extremely long rant but I was so disappointed by the jazz house in general, I feel like this establishment is money hungry and I wish I would have looked at other places before making my event there because I could have gotten comp entrances and bottle of alcohol for under 200 at Jackson's or The Lodge. I will still go to the jazz house but I will NEVER get a table there again and would never recommend anyone to either!

Pros : Good music, good crowd

Cons : Poor customer service from management (Crystal) you get nothing except a $20 bottle of champagne for your section, poor communication between Crystal and bartenders for reservations, horrible!
