Row Boat Mediterranean Cuisine Ratings & Reviews

We couldn't decide where to eat but had some friends recommend Row Boat in Ybor. We had a great experience, the service was amazing and the food was perfect. We got the falafel as a starter which was very good, a tad bit salty but still very good. We also got the chicken shawarma platter-chicken was cooked perfectly, hummus was great, pita was warm and fresh. We also got the greek salad-very fresh and included mint, lemon and a stuffed grape leaves. I also had to try the ginger soup which was very tasty and healthy. Overall we were impressed mostly because of the quality of the food and the price. Everything is very cheap and the portions are huge. The owner was very nice and we happened to be there when there were 2 for 1 drinks. We will definitely be returning, food was great.

Pros: Food, service

The restaurant has a great location just off of 7th Avenue in Ybor and there is a streetcar stop right across the street. The restaurant atmosphere inside is very casual but the food and service make this place seem upscale. There is sidewalk dining available to enjoy what Ybor City has to offer. The service I received at lunch was top notch. They offer Greek style options on their menu and with that there is a lot of competition in Ybor. I have to say, hands down, this is the best Gyro in Tampa and may be one of the best I have ever had!! I look forward to my next visit as this will be a regular spot for me in Ybor.

Pros: The food is amazing!! They have some of the best seasonings and spices which makes the meal very flavorful. The service is well above par.

The food was awesome but the service could have been a bit more attentive. All in all I would recommend it.

Pros: Good food with a good atmosphere.

Cons: Slow and less than friendly service staff.

I went to Row Boat for the first time during lunch and was on it immediately. The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing. I actually liked the food better than Acropolis. Mostly because they season everything with spices and can make your order spicy. I do wish they had a more intimate restaurant area and not just the quick fast casual experience; however, that does make it a great lunch spot and an alternative to the Downtown options.

Pros: The food at Row Boat Mediterrean Cuisine is delicious, it is well plated and very fresh. The portion size of the platters will certainly fill you up.

Cons: They do not have their own parking lot but the garage and street parking is plentiful.
