Ybor City State Museum Ratings & Reviews

5 Rating

Ybor City has a lot to offer and there is a lot of history. The Ybor City State Museum is a great way to learn about a lot of Ybor City's history from the beginnings, being the Cigar Capital of the World, and more. There is also a replica bungalow to see how life in early Ybor City was. The garden next to the Ybor City State Museum is very tranquil and can be rented out for special events.

Pros: Lots of history, knowledgeable staff, inexpensive, very entertaining and educational.

Cons: Street parking is limited but there is a metered parking lot just east of 19th Street next to the Sheriff's station.

Great place to hold a ceremony or outdoor meeting.

Pros: The park rangers here are very helpful. The museum and the state grounds are usually in beatiful shape & the small fee is well worth the knowledge you gain about the history of Ybor City.

Cons: They do not have their own parking lot so you either need to park in meters, walk from the Ybor City parking garages, 7th Ave or get lucky and find a spot on 19th Street just north of Palm Ave.
