If you didn't already know, the TECO Line Streetcar is a fantastic way to get around the Ybor City, Channelside, and Downtown Tampa areas with speed, affordability, and efficiency.

Pay a small fare (typically $2.50 for a one-way, $5 for unlimited) and go anywhere you'd like along this historic streetcar track that runs from northern Ybor, down through Channelside, and back up through Downtown Tampa.

The streetcar is a great way to save some gas money and beat the often-hectic traffic situation in this area.

Speaking of traffic, it's going to be heavy, to say the least, this Fourth of July in Tampa.  With Channelside's famous fireworks celebration, and numerous businesses celebration the 4th of July, you can bet traffic won't be a simple walk in the park.

If you're planning to go to Channelside (like many Tampa residents surely are), we suggest parking in one of the Ybor City parking garages (Palm Ave. or 15th St.) and catching the streetcar at the 8th Ave./16th St. stop or the 7th Ave./13th St. stop.  This will shuttle you right to Channelside where you can watch the fireworks at 9 and/or stop in one of the many nightlife spots like Splitsville and AjA to celebrate the Fourth with a little dancing and drink.  The TECO line runs from 11 a.m. till 11 p.m. this Fourth of July.

Whatever you choose to do this Fourth of July, please be safe!  Not that we encourage it, but the TECO Line Streetcar is a perfect alternative to driving after a few drinks and much cheaper than a taxi, or worse, court costs.
