Traveling on a route that goes from 8th Avenue in Ybor City, all the way down to Channelside, then back up through Downtown Tampa, the TECO Line Streetcar rides along its own track and often bypasses often-congested traffic in these busy areas.
Do you live or work around one of these neighborhoods? If so, you can purchase 20-ride pass for $25 saving you 50% off the normal ticket price. Just bring proof of residence or employment in these areas to the HART Ybor Station (1201 E. 7th Ave.), HART Transit Centers (1211 N. Marion St. or 403 N. Franklin St.), or Wine Design in Channelside to purchase a pass.
Even if you don't live in these areas, you probably know how bad parking can get in Downtown Tampa, Channelside, and Ybor City, especially on the weekends. A couple bucks for a trip on the streetcar into town definitely beats the 10 or 15 bucks you might be shelling out for a close parking spot in these prime nightlife areas.
Head out there, take a ride, and see what the TECO Line Streetcar is all about. You might be surprised at how much easier it is get around.
