Humane Society of Tampa Bay Hosts Free Shot Clinic for Dogs

Published By Chelsea Martin on 11 Apr 2017

Humane Society of Tampa Bay will be hosting their first free shot clinic for dogs on Saturday, April 22nd from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Good Samaritan Mission in Wimauma. The first 1,000 dogs that come to the clinic will receive free DA2PP and Rabies vaccinations, both of which are core vaccines for dogs. Dogs must be at least eight weeks old to receive the DA2PP vaccine and at least three months old to receive the Rabies vaccine. The Humane Society will only vaccinate individual puppies (not litters of puppies), and up to four dogs can be vaccinated per household. All dogs must be on leashes, and cats are not permitted into the free shot clinic for their own safety.

For over 100 years, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay has been dedicated helping animals, and this free shot clinic for dogs is one of their largest community outreach efforts. The Society cares about people as much as they do about animals, so they ask clinic guests to bring a can of food or other non-perishable items, toiletries, and/or diapers for the Good Samaritan Mission’s food pantry. For more information about the free shot clinic, visit HumaneSocietyTampa.org or call 813-876-4150.

This is amazing! I love the cause, far to often people cannot afford to get their dogs the shots they need. Simply because it costs a lot of money. At the very least you have to visit the vet four times just to get a new puppy up to date. I am a huge pit bull advocate I often work with a company that sales dog shirts to help pit bulls in need! There shirts are pretty awesome there shirts are amazing. We definitely need more companies to band together to make this world a better place for dogs. Thank you so much for running this free dog clinic!!!
