Gator, Lobster, Ribs?! You’ve Never Had Tacos Like These!

Published By Justin Luttrull on 15 Apr 2015

Gators, lobsters, and ribs are all wonderful things, but put each in a taco?! “Absolutely!”  exclaims The Soho Backyard, an award-winning South Tampa gastropub.

Ranging from $2-5 each, you too can enjoy the following uniquely mouthwatering, gotta-tell-your-friends-and-write-home-to-mama-about-it kind of tacos every Thursday night:

The Chicken Taco: Don’t let the familiarity of the name fool you, this is not your average chicken taco. This guy comes with 2 ounces of baja chicken, a bed of mixed greens, freshly diced roma tomatoes, shredded mozzarella, and is topped with tequila lime sauce!

The Buffalo Chicken Taco: 2 ounces of blackened chicken tossed in a mild buffalo sauce and drizzled with ranch. Delish!

The Mahi Taco: 1.5 ounces of delectable baja mahi served over a bed of homemade slaw with a light drizzle of tequila lime sauce added. Ahh...Mahi mahi!

The Shrimp Taco: Grilled baja shrimp served over a bed of homemade slaw with a light drizzle of some more of that delicious tequila lime sauce added on. “Scrumtrulescent!”

The Gator Taco: We know you’ve been waiting for this one. 2 ounces of pure southern grilled gator tail braised with an in a house thai chili (...take a moment to let your brain catch up to your taste buds…). Comes with a side of homemade slaw.

The Lobster Taco: Two ounces of exquisite, crispy lobster...on a taco! Served with a bed of mixed greens and topped with homemade cajun mayo.

Braised Rib Taco: Tastes as great as it sounds and one of The Soho Backyard’s favorites! Two ounces of braised ribs and au poivre sauce; includes fresh diced roma tomatoes and fresh greens served on a bed of mixed greens.

Already renowned for it’s Sunday Brunch, Bloody Mary’s, and a myriad of other pub fare, The Soho Backyard was recently awarded the honor of “The Best Pub With a Pallete” by Tampa Bay Metro Magazine.

With the mouthwateringly eclectic menu listed above, it is no wonder why!
