The Front Desk Agent is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests upon arrival, registering guests into the computer, verifying registration and credit information. Front Desk Agents need to make reservations for future arrivals and walk in guests. They will need to promote the Marriott Rewards program and provide recognition and benefits to all present members as well as provide enrollment for nonmembers. The Front Desk Agent will accept payment for guest accounts both at time of registration and check out. Maintain a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily. Post miscellaneous charges as requested. Answer the Aloft telephone calls and answer questions and requests with 100% accuracy.

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Front desk experience in hospitality is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge in leading customer service and in computers. The ability to work a variable shift including nights / overnights, weekends, and holidays, the ability to stand / walk for extended periods of time and move at a quick pace is required.

Hourly pay starts at $ 12.50 per hour and is based on work experience.

All offers of employment at Aloft Tampa Downtown are contingent upon a background screening of the candidate satisfactory to Aloft Tampa Downtown, to be determined in Aloft Tampa Downtown’s discretion. Background screening will be conducted in compliance with state and federal requirements.
