This position is responsible for computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.


Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Under the direction of the Revenue Audit Supervisor and Manager, duties include but not limited to:

    • Tasked with the responsibility of completing the daily audit/reconciliation of Slot activity. This will include producing analysis on the daily/monthly and yearly performance of each gaming machine.
    • Must be able to create detailed analytical reports of Slot hold and performance based on both actual and theoretical data.
    • Must be able to identify patterns of invalid data quickly and efficiently and make accurate, precise and quick decisions regarding the adjustment of Slot metered data throughout the audit.
    • Responsible for ensuring all Count Room drop data and revenue reported through the Casino Management Systems are accurate each day, as required by the Tribal Internal Control Standards.
    • Compiles and analyzes gaming and non-gaming financial information in the Casino Journal to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts.
    • Monitors casino activity through auditing and verifying various assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses derived from the Casino Journal and other areas for the following departments: Slots, Table Games, Cage, Marketing, Special Events, Food/Beverage/Hotel, Count Room, & Poker Room. 
    • Assist supervisors in the performance of high-level review of casino audits; investigate variances, log exceptions, and follow-up on findings. Prior to issuing Daily Operations Report (DOR), revenue and expenses are to be verified for completeness and accuracy.
    • Compile the Compliance Package and assemble the reports in order based on the Compliance Checklist. Must ensure that all documents are present and locate missing documents from the appropriate auditor.
    • Devises and implements system for general accounting and audit preparation of worksheets to include analyzing audit spreadsheet enhancement to more effectively reflect the daily operations of the Cage, Slot, Poker and Table Game activity for purposes of reporting casino revenue.
    • Works with the uniform chart of accounts using the guidelines of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Maintain knowledge of the STOF Gaming and Compliance regulations as well as Seminole Hard Rock Tampa internal controls, policies, and procedures.
    • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
    • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
    • Other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or GED with emphasis in business or equivalent experience required.
  • 2 to 4 years of accounting experience required.
  • A degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • Employee must be computer literate and possess the basic skills of Excel. 
  • Casino accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • The Revenue Audit Accountant is an entry level accounting position requiring weekends and holidays.


Work Environment:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
