Fresh Mouth

Fresh Mouth was once one of my favorite places to eat a burger in Tampa Bay - I even spent one of my birthday dinners there. The gourmet burger spike in Tampa though has left Fresh Mouth completely outmatched by competitors with much more care to quality ingredients and to service. I had far too many experiences at Fresh Mouth where a burger was either unseasoned or the bread on the burger was stale. I will give a plug to their french fries though, which have almost always been a tasty creation. Service has been spotty at best, one time the waitress took over an hour to bring us our check despite the restaurant being completely empty. Fresh Mouth has a quality product, they just need to focus on making a consistent product and bring back their delicious burgers, although this probably has more to do with the recession though.

Pros: Great fries, great burger when made right

Cons: Outbeat by stiff gourmet burger competitors and spotty service can make it a hit or miss

this plase is great and nicely priced. the most fun burger joint in town
