Local Ballet Company, Tampa Ballet Theatre, and local Ballet Studio, Tampa Bay Ballet, have announced their involvement in Oldsmar’s Gold Star Mothers’ & Families’ Day Ceremony. The ceremony is to honor Florida families of the fallen and remembers the heroes of America. Tampa Ballet Theatre and Tampa Bay Ballet will be coming together to perform an original ballet piece to honor America’s fallen heroes and their families. This event is going to take place at Veterans Memorial Park on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM.
Tampa Ballet Theatre and Tampa Bay Ballet are going to perform to an instrumental piece of “America the Beautiful”. This is an original piece choreographed by Artistic Director, Lindsay Clark.
“I really want to touch the hearts of the mothers’ and families with this piece,” states Lindsay Clark, Choreographer and Artistic Director of Tampa Ballet Theatre, “it’s going to be beautiful and it is such an honor to have been given the opportunity to give back to our community… I know my dancers are going to perform from their hearts and will be able to connect with everyone who is watching.”
Tampa Ballet Theatre is a non-profit professional ballet company in the Tampa Bay Area and has been since 2012. The mission of the Tampa Ballet Theatre is to educate, entertain, and broaden the outlook of the community through the world of classical and contemporary ballet. The company prides itself in preserving the classical masterpieces of previous centuries while creating new contemporary and classical productions to the Greater Tampa Bay area. Tampa Ballet Theatre engages itself in community functions to help give back to the community through the art of ballet and lending a structural support for the arts.
Tampa Bay Ballet opened in 2008 and is the official school of Tampa Ballet Theatre. Tampa Bay Ballet’s mission is to provide the highest standard of dance instruction and professional performing experience for students of all ages. Students receive traditional classroom training from professional danc
