Guido Maniscalco was born and raised in Tampa. He is a small business owner, community
activist and civic leader with a passion for improving the City of Tampa. Guido works with his family in the jewelry store that his grandfather opened in 1974. He currently serves as a member of the City of Tampa Code Enforcement Board, President of the MacFarlane Park Neighborhood Association, a member of the Hillsborough County Human Rights Council and is a member of several other civic and social organizations.
Guido’s priorities on the City Council will be improving our neighborhoods through the
installation of better street lights, safer roads, improving city parks and increasing the city’s network of bike lanes and pedestrian paths. It is his desire to make the city a better place to raise a family. In addition, Guido will work to streamline the business permitting process, helping small business owners.
He believes that starting a business should be an enjoyable process and the beginning of a rewarding adventure, not an experience filled with frustrations and bureaucratic red tape. He will also work to improve the code enforcement process in an effort to improve the beauty and solemnity of our city, our home.
