Three new Sushi Restaurants in and around Downtown Tampa bring more options for Sushi lovers in Tampa.  The HideawayKELP SUSHI JOINT and  Sushi Ninja Tampa recently opened to join the other popular Sushi offerings at Samurai Blue in Ybor, Ciccio and Tony's and SoHo Sushi in South Tampa.    Here is a quick tour.

The Hideaway at The Grand Central on Kennedy Blvd. in the Channellside area sits next door to it's affiliate  Maloney's Local Irish Pub.  The Hideaway is an upscale bar, sushi restaurant and dance club.  The menu offers classic Nigiri and Sashimi along with a great variety of specialty rolls.   The full liquor bar rounds out the experience with saki, craft beers and a Martini Of The Month.  Ample parking is available at the garages in The Grand Central, making the area a great destination for fine dining, watching sports, relaxing or enjoying time with friends.

Further South, Kelp Sushi Joint is now open on Bay To Bay Blvd, just west of MacDill.  Their philosophy of "make it local, make it fresh and make it sustainable" is reflected with items made fresh with locally sourced ingredients.  The atmosphere is neighborhood and friendly, carrying a tradition of family and maintaining the environment for all.  The menu carries a variety of small dish, sushi rolls and sushi platters along with specials for lunch.

Back up MacDill on W. Kennedy Blvd in Palori Plaza, Sushi Ninja has opened it's second Bay Area location.  Chef Mimi Kang brings her 13 years of experience and success from Brandon to South Tampa, continuing to serve fine Asian, Japanese and Korean cuisine.   The menu includes a variety of specialty sushi rolls, sashimi, traditional Japanese and Korean dishes.  In addition to the main dining area, sushi bar and full liquor bar, there are two private dining areas for more intimate parties or events.
