I have been to Cappy's 3 times now. The first time I enjoyed the experience so I wanted to go back. The next two times were MAJOR disappointments. This had nothing to do with the food as I only got to try the food once. Why? Because even though they post hours, they don't actually stay open those hours. Last night is a prime example, the hours they post are open until 9 PM Monday - Thursday. I hate being one of those people that show up and make places stay open, however, I AM in the industry and I know that when you have hours until 9 PM you expect to take customers up until 9 PM knowing they may not be done until 9:30 or 10 PM and the staff is all aware of that as well. Last night I show up at 8:38 PM (I am sure they have cameras so they can check). As I walk up I see another gentleman enter and then as I start to go in he comes out and says, they say they are already closed. He also gives me a reference to two other pizza places near by with just as good if not better pizza. I walk in anyway and am "greeted" by a girl mopping who says we are closed. I said you sign says 9 PM do you always close early? She says if our customer count is low yes. I say, well your customer count w

    Pros: Its local

Cons: Average Pizza and business operator that doesn't understand costumer care or what business hours mean.

Cappy's has a great Chicago deep-dish pizza that keeps me coming back. They face some pretty stiff competitors in the Brandon area, but keep themselves going with plenty of loyal regulars and fans they have made since their original location opened long ago. I also like their New York pie, but the Chicago pizza is truly where it's at. If you dine-in, the employees are really friendly and keep the refills coming. The interior feels like an old-fashioned pizza parlor, it is a little bit cramped though. Check out Cappy's if you are in the Brandon/Riverview area.

    Pros: Great Chicago-style deep-dish pizza

Cons: Only open for a few select hours a day

The restaurant looks really nice from the outside but when you are inside it feels too small because the kitchen is smack in the middle. But for a pizza joint, Cappy's fits the bill. They also have a decent selection of beer. We tried the Chicago style and the pizza was really filling and made for a couple meals with the left overs. Worth trying but not something I would frequent at the price.

Pros: They offer both Chicago style deep dish pizza and New York style pizza.

Cons: 35 minute wait for carryout order seems a bit long for just one pizza and cheese bread.
