Better listen up, it's gonna go swiftly!
The emcee for this event will be Wally B., Founder of Heard 'Em Say Teen Poetry. Wally B. and members of his team will also perform their original Founding Era Slam Poetry.
This event is the culmination of a 6-week contest to find the best Revolutionary Slam Poets in Hillsborough County.
A curated reader of primary resources that illustrate the era's themes is available to all participants by visiting the Founding Era website: http://foundingera.org/downloads/foundingera/GLI_RevisitingtheFoundingEra_Reader.pdf
This program is part of Revisiting the Founding Era, a three-year national initiative of the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History presented in partnership with the American Library Association and the National Constitution Center, with generous support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
