Love this park! Amazing views of the river and the University of Tampa campus.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park will always be one of my favorite places in Tampa! Because of the time I spent at UT it was somewhere I found myself watching the sunset almost every night for two years! The fairs and festivals that are held here have also proved to be an excitement each time!
Pros: Best spot to watch the sunset!!
Cons: Sometimes hard to find parking.. But there's public parking all throughout Downtown!

Great riverside park in downtown Tampa. Tons of events and festivals take place there as well as just being a great place to go and relax.

I've gone there for a few festivals and a wedding and all have been amazing!

Favorite park in Tampa. Great views, awesome architecture within and around the park, and tons of free, cool events throughout the year.
Pros: If you like the city landscape, this is a great urban-style park with a cool style, convenient location, and a pretty sweet dog park for all the hounds.
Cons: Parking will most likely cost you money, especially if there's an event going on. Nothing ridiculous, just not free.

It is amazing what the Mayor of Tampa has made with Curtis Hixon Park. Events are regularly held here from food truck rallies to yoga at the park, and the beautiful view of the University of Tampa from here is spectacular. The park is kid-friendly with a playground and also dog-friendly. Tampa truly needs more places like this - it shows that Tampa residents do want to get outdoors - we just don't have enough places to accomplish that. As someone who comes from the West Coast, where spending the day outdoors is just a way of life I truly salute the Curtis Hixon Park as a truly important part to the growth and improvement of the City of Tampa, Downtown Tampa included.
Pros: Awesome way to spend the day outdoors, kid and family friendly, huge event grounds, beautiful view of UT
Cons: N/A

Most events that are held here are FREE! Great place for concerts, they do yoga in the park, art events, and so much more. Parking is not bad as there is a couple garages right near the park and street parking north of Kennedy Blvd is free after 6pm and on weekends.
Pros: The park offers a lot with a huge filed, area with stadium lawn seating, dog park, playground, water fountains for kids to play in, and it is on the Hillsborough River!

I enjoy going to Curtis Hixon Park even just as a place to relax. The events they host here are always a great time and it brings action to the city, which Tampa really needs more things to do in Downtown.
Pros: Curtis Hixon Park is clean, has great views of the city, is easy to get to and is a great place for concerts.
Cons: I usually can find street parking in the city but parking sometimes can be annoying.
